I had to try something new to me. That was to paint watercolor on canvas. I purchased some 4x4 canvases and used a specific coating on the canvas to get the watercolor to stick. After it was painted as much as possible, as the paint wanted to lift off the canvas, I had to apply a fixative. But it does not have to be under glass.
